We visited Keller’s Farmstand this past weekend, which has become an annual tradition for us. Keller added more wooden structures for the kids to climb and play on. There was an awesome new wooden 4×4 truck that was bigger than a real car and had a slide out the trunk. They also replaced the gravel road with a nice new blacktop road for kids to drive little tractors and cars around on. Carter could reach the peddles so he was able to make a few laps around the course.
I’m not sure why, but Carter enjoyed sitting on the pumpkins. While we were picking out a few to take home, he went around and sat on about 20 different large ones. He finally stopped sitting on them and picked out his very own pumpkin. In a weekend or two we are going to attempt Carter’s first carving. In years past, he colored his pumpkin.
We also took a hay ride around the pumpkin patch, walked through hay mazes, and visited with the animals in the petting zoo. The sky was full of clouds through our entire visit at the farm. Just as we were about to leave , the rain came down. It was a really fun day for all of us.
